Window Cleaning FAQ
We recommend at least once per year. Many of our customers get their windows cleaned two or more times per year.
For the interior, we use a strip washer and squeegee along with a professional soap formulated to be used with a squeegee. On the exterior, we will use either the squeegee method or a ‘pure water’ system depending on the windows being cleaned.
For the vast majority of our customers, we clean the interior and exterior. However, if desired, we can clean just the exterior of the glass.
No. We can work around drapes and blinds. We can also take care of moving items from around and in front of the windows. If we have any questions on what to do (or not do) with something, we will always check with you first.
There really is no “best” time of year. Some want their windows sparkling first thing in the spring. Others want to have their windows cleaned after the tree pollen has subsided. And others want their windows gleaming for the holidays. Many also choose to have their windows cleaned two or more times per year.

Power Washing FAQ
There are products, which are actually fungicides, which are marketed as being able to slow the return of mildew and algae. Some power washing companies promote them. However, we do not use them for one primary reason. The fine print will usually indicate that the product should not be used near any waterway, river, lake, pond, or reservoir, or similar wording to that effect. Although there are varying opinions, the eco-friendliness of such products is questionable and the primary reason we do not use them.
All we ask is that all windows and doors be closed and at least one working water spigot on the outside of the house be available on the day of service.
This is caused by artillery fungus. Artillery fungus, also known as shotgun fungus, grows in decaying wood, and was likely already present in the mulch delivered to your home. Power washing cannot remove artillery fungus.

Yes. We do require access to at least one working water spigot on the outside your home.
Pressure washing and power washing are really the same thing. Pressure or “Power” is used to clean the surface. Soft Washing is sometimes also called Low-Pressure Washing. Soft washing involves very low pressure and the use of Eco-friendly organic detergents. Each method has its place. For example, when cleaning things such as vinyl siding, composite, Trex, and painted wood siding, only a soft low-pressure process should be used. However, when cleaning hardscapes and concrete, more pressure is needed.

There is no need to. However, if your windowsills are especially dirty, you may remove the screens ahead of time which would allow us to clean and rinse the sills more effectively.
Our house wash will make them look amazing again. However, we cannot guarantee that they will look “brand new.” While they often do, sometimes a faint vertical striping will remain, commonly known as “tiger striping.” They are the result of an electrostatic bond created between the anodized aluminum of the gutter and environmental pollutants.
Your entire home is washed top to bottom. We wash all siding, trim, soffits, fascia, and gutter faces. Decks, porches, and patios are not included in a standard house wash, but we can certainly clean them also if desired. Just let us know what you would like done.

Simply put, power washing with high pressure can easily damage surfaces such as vinyl siding, painted wood siding, vinyl and composite trim, decking, and rails. For such surfaces, we use a low-pressure soft wash method involving the use of 100% eco-friendly and biodegradable surfactants/detergents to rid your home of algae, mildew, grime, and mold.

No. All we ask is that all windows and doors be closed and at least one working water spigot on the outside of the house be available on the day of service.
Although we soap and rinse all the windows during the house wash process, it is not a replacement for professional window cleaning. If you are interested in a professional window cleaning, we can take care of it on the same day as the house wash.

For most people, cleaning them once a year is sufficient. In some cases, twice a year is needed. If cleaning once a year, we recommend cleaning them sometime between the middle of November and early December. This is after most, or all, of the leaves have fallen from the trees and before everything has frozen solid.
